Does Neuraglia Cause Tingling Sensation In Lips And Gums?

Hi my doctor has told me I have neuralgia and have been prescribed pregabalin. I've only taken 3 tablets (75mg total) so appreciate it hasn't started to take affect yet. I was getting tingling around my crown and cheeks and now it's in my lips and gums... Is this normal for this condition? I am also suffering from anxiety at the moment too so not sure if it's that? Thanks, Lisa

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain tingling of lips and gums can be as a result of "PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY"

It can also be due to few other reasons like Lowering of blood sugar, anaemia, Vitamin B12 deficiency,Generalized weakness, thyroid problems ( hypothyroidism) etc.

In case of peripheral neuropathy Pregabalin is an appropriate medicine to be taken with a maximum of 75 mg in one day.

If it does not work you can also get blood tests done for the above explained conditions like blood sugar, haemoglobin % , T3,T4,TSH, BLOOD TEST for vitamin B12 levels etc to rule out other possible causes for it.

Hope your query is solved..

Thanks and regards..
