Hi doctor, I just want to skip my periods for few days like my periods are about to come on 11 of dec but I want them to come nearly 22 so for that I am about to take northisterone. But still I am concerned about my ovulation period. Can you please explain me that will that ovulation period will be the same as according to my previous periods date or it will be changed and will be according to the new date just 2 weeks after my new periods date? I have a 31 day cycle period. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Intake of 'Norethisterone' would certainly help you to postpone your periods. It only leads to change in your periods schedule with respect to dates.
However, it does not affect number of days in your period nor your ovulation process. Hence, ovulation would certainly occur during 13th day of your cycle and your fertile period would be between 10th to 17th day.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
