Does Noristerone Pills Have Any Effect On Pregnancy?
Hi. My wife has just taken a pregnancy test and it s positive! However her last period was 20ty October 2013 and she took noristerone for 5 days between 18th-24th November (5days) without realising that she may have been pregnant at this time. We blamed the missed period on 20th November on the pills but it may have been that she fell pregnant beforehand. The test States she is over 3 weeks. Could you advise if the pills will have any affect on the pregnancy? We plan to get checked tomorrow but are both worried about this! Thanks in advance.

Norethisterone is progesterone tablet this is unlikely to affect the pregnancy.. Progesterone is a natural hormone of pregnancy.. Before 4 weeks it is all or none rule which means the tablets taken will cause no problem to the fetus or it will cause spontaneous abortion.. so you need not think of termination because of taking those tablets ..
