Does Novasure Procedure Cause Excruciating Pain In Lower Abdomen During Periods With Little Bleeding?

I had a Novasure done about 2 1/2 years ago and the past 6-8 months have been dealing with excruciating pain in the lower abdomen during my cycle. Not a lot of bleeding. I went back in Oct and OB did paps and everything came back fine. She also did an ultra sound and said she saw a small fibroid but nothing to worry about. Today I m in a lot of pain and it isn t going away like usual. What is a good Dr. in my area that can tell me what is wrong. I know this has to do with the Novasure procedure. Thank you

Hello ma'am and welcome.

I too suspect your presentation to either be a side effect of the procedure or due to the developing fibroid in your uterus. It is difficult to comment on the way forward with a physical examination and all the results of the investigations, which is why I would request you to visit your treating doctor for more answers. Only he/she can provide you the information you are looking for as he/she is the one who conducted the procedure.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
