hi doctor i m trying to conceive, my gyneocologist gave ovva gen tablet. what is the use of this tablet? i got marriage on 2 nov 2015 and i loss 6 weeks pregnency on dec 27 2015, and i have thyroid also using eltroxin 50mcg, now i m trying to concive, my height5.2 and wait 67 kgs and i have irreguler period also. please give any sugession to got a chaild

Hi,

It is used to treat female infertility. Ovagen Tablet (clomiphene) works by stimulating an increase in the amount of hormones that support the growth and release of a mature egg (ovulation) in women who are not able to ovulate due to certain medical conditions like hypothyroidism.

It should be taken on day 2 of the menstrual cycle (day 1 is the day you wake up bleeding) and initially a 50 mg tablet is taken once a day for 5 days around the same time every day. Ovulation usually occurs 5-12 days after the last tablet. If ovulation does not occur after the first course of therapy, a second course of 100 mg once a day for 5 days should be taken. You should have to have regular sexual intercourse 2-3 times per week from 5 days after the last tablet (day 10 in the cycle) to become pregnant.
