Does Oxycodone Cause Severe Nausea?

I am prescribed Oxycodone 15mg for pain. The last 2 months I have received a different manufacturers Oxycodone with the imprint U23 and I find that it is causing me to feel nauseous. Is there a different type of base added to this brand that is causing this by chance?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Oxycodone is an opioid pain medication.
Commonly reported side effects with use of oxycodone include: constipation, drowsiness, nausea, pruritus and vomiting.
The medication itself can cause side effect like nausea and that does not depend on manufacturer.
You may need to take anti-emetic medication along with it to prevent and overcome such side effects.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
