Does PFO Causing Chest Pain Need A Further Referral?

My 15 year old daughter who is normally very healthy and energetic has been having chest pain, shortness of breath and exhaustion in October. We have had her to a cardiologist who ordered 3 EKGs(normal), a stress echo (normal) and a 30 day event monitor (showing numberous runs of SVT heart rate in the 180s at rest). He put her on 25mg of Toprol with no relief of symptoms. This past week her symptoms were so bad we called the MD again. We did lab work (cbc, bmp and mono check all normal) she also had a non stress echo that showed she has a PFO. The MD does not want to do anything for her stating you do nothing for a PFO unless you have had 2 strokes. I do not want my daughter to continue feeling this way. Should I worry about the PFO and should I request a referall to a pediatric cardiologist at Riley Childrens Hospital (Indianapolis). Very concerned mother.
