Does Percocet Cause Headaches?

Can you get headaches from taking Percocet? I have been taking them for my back for about 2 years, but today I have had a headache that won t go away. I did have a death in my family last night and didn t sleep much, so I didn t know if it was that or the medication.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Very likely your headache is related to not sleeping well and the stress that you may have gone through recently due to the bad news of a loss in the family. It is unlikely the headache is due to Percocet.
If your headache is getting worse or is not getting better in 24 hours you may need to see your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
