Does Plaquenil Cause Loss Of Vision?

Recently diagnosed with SLE. Butterfly rash has come and gone for years,my husband tells the doc. Noticed mouth sores,foaming urine,changes in vision a few months ago. Have had moderate neuropathy feet and legs for a few years. Few months ago, increased pain to intolerant level. Not treated yet. Plaquenil is the treatment being floated.. I also have proriasis,very mild,1-2 lesions every few months. Worried about plaquenil,adverse reaction. Especially the eye thing. What is the incidence of blindness?

Hello dear. I am concerned in your problem. Rarely plaquenil gives vision changes, poor vision ,blurred vision, flashes etc . This is a serious side effect so you have to see your doctor to change the medication. Best Regards.
