Does Plaquenil Cause Severe Itching In The Arms And Legs?
I started on plaquenil 2 mos ago for lupus. Within the last week I have started having severe, uncontrollable itching of my legs and arms. I can not attribute the itching to anything else. There is no rash or bumps, just uncontrollable itching. Could this be a side effect of the plaquenil? Thanks. Monica

Plaquenil can be associated with a rash and itching in 1 to 10 % of persons who use this medication. This means that it can occur in 1 to 10 persons out of 100.
