Does Prednisone Medication Has Side Effects On Menstruation?

I had what seemed to be bronchitis in late December and I had to go to the hospital for a breathing treatment. They then prescribed me a short dose of prednisone. My period was suppose to show up sometime last week and it didn't. Could this be caused by my illness?
