Hi. I'm confused about my prescribed treatment and it's making me anxious. I've been prescribed Progynova for IVF from day 21 (of my last cycle) for 15 days, and my first scan isn't until day 11 of this cycle. That means FSH injections won't start until around the time I'd be expecting to ovulate. Can you explain why my first scan and injections are scheduled to begin so late? Does Progynova postpone ovulation? I'm nearly 42 and I'm on day 2 of my new cycle... unless I'm somehow not having a cycle this month. Please explain what I'm doing to my body by taking these oestrogen pills. I thought it was just to prevent 'scattering' so that the follicles would grow at similar rates. Thank you.
