Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
16th day on 10mg prozac for anxiety and pulse is around 60 bpm and BP is 115/68 .I just want to know if it should lower pulse cause mines usually around 70s/80s but since on prozac it's low and I feel dizzy and anxious still cause my hearts always been my biggest concern with anxiety
Hello, Thank you for posting your question to HCM,
I read carefully your question. Irregular or slow heart rate is from the side effects of Prozac that falls in the category of "not known" if and how often it gives that side effect.
If I was your caring doctor, I would recommend to consider switching to another drug for your anxiety, since it gives you bothersome side effects; and if after stopping them the problem continues then consider check-up the heart to a local physician to make sure that its not a problem that needs specific treatment.
Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have further questions or need more clarifications. I will be happy to answer.
Take care, Dr. Papaqako
