Does RA Cause Tingling And Numb Arms, Stiff Head And Neck With Severe Pain?
I had been diagnosed with RA by a rhumatologist about 2 yrs now, after many misdiagnosis and treatments before this... and a week prior I also diagnosed with Cervical cancer... the rhumatologist started me out on methotrexate, later added hydroquinone ... within 3mo. I stopped all Rx treatments... I self medicate, mostly over counter pain relievers to get me thru... about a mo.ago now, What I thought was kinks in my shoulders, to a stiff kneck... steadily getting worse... tingling and numbness thru my arms and hands, my head and kneck very limited mobility, painful... feels like swelling at base of my skull at times... is this RA since I stopped treatments.?.
The symptoms seem to be related to rheumatoid arthritis. I suggest using an anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest using cold compresses. If the symptoms continue, I suggest to see a rheumatologist for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
