Hello Dear. Seroquel (quetiapine) is an antipsychotic medicine. It works by changing the actions of chemicals in the brain. Seroquel is used to treat
schizophrenia and
bipolar disorder, and also used along with anti-depressants to treat
major depression.
Seroquel will not help you in treating sleeplessness, infact it may worsen it. Do not take sleep medicines on your own without personally meeting a doctor, who will take your detailed history, examine you and then will treat you for your sleeplessness.
Self medication or online consultation of a doctor and taking medicines may do more harm than good for you.
You already know that addiction to cocaine is bad. Any intoxicant for that matter is bad and may affect your sleep. You need not always take medicines for sleep. You can get good sleep by following healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, cutting down on intoxication, nutritious food etc.
If you are already addicted kindly
consult a psychiatrist who will actually help you with medicines and counselling to combat your problem.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
Dr Sanjay Kini
