Does Smear Test Cause Bleeding For Long Time?

I had a smear test this morning that was extremely painful - I m a virgin and have never had a smear test before - have bled a lot today though that has now settled down I think but I am still in a lot of discomfort. Is this normal? I m 32 and otherwise in good health.

I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that this is very unlikely that because of the smear test one get the bleeding, this could be coincidence the bleeding could be menses related, and in my opinion just wait for some time this would come around, take care and have a nice day.
