Does Supermet XI 25 Cause Any Side Effects?

Hi, Of late I ve been prescribed Supermet Xl 25 in context to a problem of irregular heatbeat. Having searched in google, I found some information about this medicine which says that this might cause sexual disability. Pls help me to know if there is indeed such a risk associated with this drug.

Hi dear the Supermet XL 25 contains Metoprolol which is drug of choice for irregular heartbeat. The common side effects are tiredness, slowness of heartbeat, sweating, chest discomfort but all this happens after a very long duration after 4-6 months of daily intake. As related to sexual disability concerns it does not causes direct action on sexual organs but very very rare cases it may affect but only if you take for very long periods. so if you feel some problem in future then you can stop taking it so right now you can take without any hesitation
