Does UTI Delay Menstruation?

i had sex on the day i was expected to get my period and there was some bleeding. the next day i got a urinary track infection and my period did not come, the inection is almost better but still i have not gotten my period. is the late period because of the infection or should i be worrying about pregnancy?
