hello doctor.I had VDRL negative and TPHA positive.The doctor i asked here in our country states that no need for treatment since it represents only old infection.is this true?can i still transmit the disease to the fetus?can i still have a physical contact?ki

Your doctor is right in advising you about syphilis. VDRL negative means you have no active disease and thus can not transmit it to the baby. You can also have sex safely. I would also advise you to get tested for HIV and Hepatitis B as well. Let me know if you have any more queries.
