Does Vicodin Cause Violent Behavior And Drowsiness?

My husband takes vicodin and is on a strict count from his doctor. He has been on this pain medication for about five years. He is verbally abusive, sleeps all the time especially after eating and we quarrel all the time. He yells at me and is critical. We ve been married almost fifty years and I am ready to leave. Need help.

Hello,

Vicodin may cause aggressive behavior but there are other conditions that may cause this. I think your husband needs to be examined by a doctor to rule out other causes of behavior changes.

The fact that he sleeps a lot together with violent behavior should prompt a thorough visit with the doctor.

I hope I have answered your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
