Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been recently put on vyvance 20mgs a day to help with my adult ADD and this is my third week on it. I ve noticed that I m very angry almost all the time and I m not normally like that. I m a very kind and friendly person normally. Is the anger a side affect of the vyvance? If so how long before I m nice again?
Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is a central nervous system stimulant. It affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. It is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults and in children who are at least 6 years old.It is also used to treat moderate to severe binge eating disorder in adults. As per your history is concerned you have anger by taking this drug but it will be adjusted within few days.It is a side effect of drug so nothing to be worried for it.Thanks
