Many things change it's effectiveness. Too much makes bleeding a big risk the bleeding shows up as bruising. Bleeding into the brain can cause changes in thinking. Bruising is often from too much blood thinner and the bruising means blood is going into the skin and out of the vessels and this leads to anemia which is dangerous.
