Does A D&C Needs To Be Done?

Hi doctor, I'm stella,i took 10 tabs of misoprostol in divided doses, to abort a one month pregnancy. blood dropped that day but stopped, i didnt see lumps which i thought i should see, do i need to run a D&C to remove all d blood,or is there any home remedy to get it out?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion as the bleeding stopped there might be incomplete abortion.So first ultrasound need to be done to see the status of conceptive products.Then if retained products are found then D&C need to be done.I suggest you never take medicines for abortion on your own as they are associated with complications like heavy bleeding,incomplete abortion etc.Always take them under doctor supervision.
