Does A UTI Cause Chills And Breathing Difficulty?

my husband has had an urinary tract infection since August 2017. He is a diabetic and has chronic kidney disease stage 3.. The urologist hasn t found anjws antibiotic to help him. Three days ago he started to shake and couldn t breathe...put him on oxygen. Could the infection have something to do with this?

HELLO Dear,
Yes absolutely! I am of the opinion that it's due to infections. I will suggest that have all routine blood test and urine and have culture of urine sample. Patient has to be treated symptomatically and rigorously with broad spectrum antibiotics such as cephalosporins till then along with paracetamol, intravenous fluids etc. So local hospitalisation is required.
Thank you
