Does A Concussion Cause Tremors In The Head?

I hit my head hard on my child s school stage 4 days ago and was knocked out for a few seconds . I had a concussion but have been cleared of any brain bleeds . I notice now my head shakes involuntarily and tenses up . If someone tries to take my picture it really shakes . Could this be caused by hitting my head ? Is there medication to stop it ? I m female 41 years old , good health .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It does not seem that the tremors you are having are related to the concussion.

If bleeding was excluded very likely you don't have serious damages of the brain and nerves to justify the tremor.

Because the tremor happens especially when someone takes a picture of you it is very likely related to anxiety.

It should start to settle in a few weeks but if it doesn't then you will need to see a doctor to better identify the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
