Does A Heart Attack Cause Chest, Jaw And Back Pains, Body Numbness?

Had a thymectomy in 2000. apparently 6mth follow up ct scan of chest showed a growth, (slow growth) over my aortic valve. hx of sarcoidosis, and hep c (non-reactive). now i get chest pains and the left side of my body goes numb and i get this excruciating pain up in my jaw up to my temple, and i feel like someone stabbed me in the back with a butcher knife. it goes away after about 2 minutes, but it takes so much out of me. i use bayer asprin ALOT! i have no insurance for a f/u ct scan at this time. is this a heart attack?

It could be unstable angina, presenting complaints are quite similar with heart attack. But usually cardiac pain we call it when it is there for more than 20 mins. So, by doing cardiac enzymes and ecg and echo, we can rule that condition out.

Note: For further follow-up it is advisable to consult an emergency medicine specialist. Click here.
