Does A Hole In The Heart Cause Any Health Complications?

SIR MY DAUGHTER HAVE HOLE IN HEART ASD SIZE IS 45MM AS PER ECHO TEST SIR SHE HAVE NO ANY PROBLEM AND REGULAR GOING TO GIM AND DOING ALL EXERCISE DR. ADVISE TO CLOSE THE HOLE TELL ME SIR WHAT I CAN DO AND WHAT IS EFFECT IN OLD AGE IF SHE NOT CLOSE THIS NOW AGE IS 21 YEARS.

Hi,

Please get your daughter ASD closure done because it is a huge hole. Even I had a heart hole measuring 20*20mm which I got closed one year ago, and I do not have any problems.

But if you have a bigger hole, she can go for Eisenmenger's syndrome. Her heart gets dilated, and chambers failure occurs causing more and more problems. Read about that syndrome in google.

I think she needs open heart surgery closure since 45mm is a little bigger one. Kindly do think of surgery and be happy with me after closure.
