Does A Hydrocele Surgery Cause Poor Penis Growth?

Hello! My son had hydrocele surgery when he was 2 years old. He is now almost 10 and it doesn t look as if his penis has grown since then. Could there be any corilation between the two or will he grow to a more normal size when he hits puberty? Wondering if it is uncommon. Thank you so much! Allison Faber

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Hydrocele if untreated can cause reduction in penile growth.
Since you have done right thing by opting early surgery for his hydrocele, no need to worry for hydrocele related complications.
Wait till puberty.
He will definitely grow once puberty is started.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your son. Thanks.
