Does A Itchy Red Patch With Discharge At The Base Of Penis Indicate STD?

I had oral sex about a week ago. shortly thereafter I noticed a red patch at the base of the head of my penis. It itches terribly for a couple of days and goes away. it is oozing a clear sticky liquid. also there appears to be a couple om what looks to be small pimples. IS the a possible STD and should I be worried?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is unlikely an STD. Most probably it will be a superficial fungal infection. As a first line management topical antifungals like Clotrimazole can be applied. If lesion persists better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
