Does A Jaundiced Dog Bite Require Any Other Medication?

My cousin had dog bite. She is around 15 years and was bleeding. The dog was recenlty diagnosed with Jaundice. She has been treated with tetnus injection and for dog bite. I am just worried, that do i need her to have any other type of medicine taken since dog is infected with Janundice. Please advice

I understand your health concern, if I am your doctor I suggest you that rabies shots are compulsory to your friend. Though rabies won't cause jaundice to any dogs. But as a precautionary measures rabies should be given to them. It is necessary to diagnose dog for cause of jaundice. If the infection is caused by the organisms which can spread through bite than it is necessary to take the treatment for the same. Take antibiotics and local antibiotic cream also.
