Does A Laparoscopic Surgery Cause Body Chills?

Husband just had laparoscopy surgery the afternoon. Woke up from a nap (we re home) and started shivering uncontrollably. Have covered him with four blankets, a comforter, and he s wearing a stocking cap. He s 70 and has pancreatic cancer. Is this normal following anesthesia?
