Hello,
Nabothian cyst is usually associated with some kind of infection or inflammation of the cervix. The blocking of the opening of the cervical mucus glands leads to formation of Nabothian cysts.
I will suggest you to get a gynecology checkup done including per speculum and per vaginal examination. This will be of help to know about cervical erosion or Nabothian cysts and cervicitis.
Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for a broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for 10 days and local vaginal pessary containing
Clindamycin and
Clotrimazole once at night for 7 days.
It is not Nabothian cyst but
cervical infection that can interfere with fertility.
Secondly, please get post menstrual HSG done-
Hysterosalpingography, to know about the patency of the Fallopian tubes. Also get your partner's
semen analysis to know about the quality and quantity of sperms.
As you might be aware that in a woman with regular cycle, day 10 to 20 of the cycle is the most fertile period of the cycle. If you happen to have unprotected sexual activity in this period then you stand good chance to get pregnant.
Please start on Folic acid and
vitamin B12 supplements regularly. This helps to prevent various complications during conception, pregnancy and childbirth.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
