Does A Painful Lump Under The Breast In The Rib Require Medical Attention?

I noticed a painful lump under my left breast on my rib area. I have been having some chest pain for a few weeks, it feels like I m bruised like I ve been hit in the chest. My breathing has been tight as well. And I m tired easily as well as out of breath easily.

Hi welcome to health care magic....

According to history your physical examination is necessary....

If history of trauma present than it could be hematoma like condition in which blood accumulation occurs....

If no traumatic history than it could be acute infective abscess formation....
FNAC can be done for further work up to rule out nature of lump...

If needed than chest x ray can be done to evaluate difficult breathing....

According to cause further treatment can be guided
......
Your auscultation should also done to look for any abnormal sound if present....

Take care....

Advise : Surgeon consultation for examination and further work up....
