Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A 4mm basilar pulmonary nodule was found in 3/2016... now almost 4 months later it is 7.4mm. I have been coughing for years but the last few weeks to a month the cough has gotten really bad... could it be from the nodule and what would cause it to almost double in size?
Hello A nodule that size wouldn't likely cause a chronic cough but if it's grown that much in that short a time it could be lung cancer so you need a spiral ct scan of the chest, bronchoscopy, and possibly a fine needle aspiration biopsy of the lesion
