Does A Recurrent, Sharp Pain In The Neck Warrant Urgent Medical Attention?

I m experiencing a sharp pain about neck that comes and goes every 20-30 minutes. I think it might be a muscle spams but I don t know if I should go to the ER or go to the urgent care tomorrow. When the pain comes I tighten up because of the pain. I ve had the pain about 24 hours now.

Hi just to get more history regarding your pain: is the pain right or left side of the neck? Does it allow you to swallow? Does the pain wake up at night? Is the pain associated with fever or headache ? Is the pain associated with swelling? thus you can visit the ER and see your physician for follow up
