Does A Swollen Lymph Node And Preponed Periods Have Any Connection?

hi, I'm 27 i have had my period for three or four days and i have just noticed that i have a swallon lymph node on my left side. This has hapened before but only when I have had the flu. My period was also early by a week or so.. which is rather uncommon for me.. can you give me any explanation?
