Hi there, I was run over by a car on new years day. I suffered bleeding to the brain. was in icu for 6 days in Toronto sunnybrook hospital. 8 days in trauma. 3wks in a rehab hospital afterwards. When my family doctor got the report from the hospital. she said that sunnybrook hospital said I had swollown lymph nodes. She sent me for ultrasounds 2wks ago, results came back saying I had nodes on both sides, they were benin. I suffered whip lash too. Could a sudden accident like this including whip lash cause the lymph nodes to swell up? I feel good, I don t have any symptoms of any infections. she wants me to redo the ultra sound in a month to compare
Hello, it's been a terrific story of you being driven over by the car. About the lymph nodes, they the draining channels for lymph from the different organs, and they get enlarged due to reactive changed, inflammation or infection. since it has been previously told that they were benign, there shouldn't be anything which should bother you. and you can proceed with the next check for lymph node and at accessible sites, procedures like fnac could be done to know about the real status and reason for lymphadenopathy. get the scans and procedures like fnac, done again to prove them benign and clear all confusion regarding health. good luck.
