Does Abnormal Testosterone Level Cause Weight Gain And Lack Of Hair On Body?

Hi, i am a 25 year old guy. Incidentally i am having beard in less density and light moustaches. Also i have no chest hair as such(even my dad doesn t have it). Recently i found myself growing obese and have developed a tummy and to my horror even my chest has increased. Even though i have started controlling my diet its not helping much. Is it some problem with my testosterone level. Or in such case what am i supposed to do ?

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, the symptoms you reported are consistent with low testosterone level. You should check it, and if it is confirmed low, some further exams should be done to try to find the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mirjeta Guni, Endocrinologist
