Does Abortion Cause Yeast Infection And Vaginitis?
When I was 17, I got pregnant and had an abortion when I was 9 weeks along. I will forever regret my decision, and bare the pain of the emptiness I am filled with without my child in my life, but my concern is this; It has been a little over 2 years since the procedure, and within the past few months I've been experiencing frequent UTI's, yeast infections, and vaginitis, and now I have been experiencing pain in my uterus when I make a BM. Could there be any like to the abortion that is making me experience these things?
Abortion per se will not cause any of these ailments.
How seem to have caught multiple infections - mostly sexually transmitted infections along with urinary tract infection. These infections have gone deeper in your pelvic organs and have caused swelling of the pelvic tissues.
Your yeast infection can be treated with anti fungal medicines vaginally. However, the bacterial infections (?STD) needs close review and attention. Please report to your Gynaecologist, get yourself properly evaluated and treated by suitable antibiotics. As it is your infection has got quite deep, please do not ignore it to spoil your health.
I hope this helps you.
