Does Absence Of Foetal Pole Along With Drop In HCG Levels Mean Miscarriage?

I am pregnant with twins! I had ultrasound done Friday! I thought I was 10 weeks but they saw no fetal pole or heart beat just two empty sacs. I had blood work done Saturday my numbers were 77851. More blood drawn Monday and the numbers dropped to 66184. What do I need to do?

Hello and welcome.

Your numbers seem to be dropping which, if it was the only case we could prescribe you pregnancy supporting medication to help suppprt pregnancy. But saldy, as you underwent an ultrasound scan and no fetal pole or heart best was found, this is sad news and possibly because you may have already undergone a miscarriage.

But this needs confirmation and your doctor will call you in for a repeat ultrasound scan soon. I am sorry to be the one to inform you this and hope and pray everything is for the best.

Best wishes.
