Does Alcohol Consumption Cause Neurological Disorders?
My wife is 39 yes old and complained of pain on her left side of body from chest, hand and till feet. Doctor said it might be a neuro issue n gave Dolonex DT for pain. Her TSH test was 3.5 ml normal. She is an alcoholic and drinks rum 180 ml everyday for past 8 years. Is alcohol causing neuro issues.

Alcohol do cause neurologic changes at various parameters, most likely involving hippocampus area and Wernicke encephalopathy, Korsakoff syndrome via B 12 and thiamine deficiency on long run basis. Kindly share her MRI report with me during follow up discussion for better guidelines in her recovery.
