Does An Additional Dosage Of Effexor Have Adverse Effects On The Body?

I took 300mg effexor xr at 9.30pm last night then took another 300mg at 7am this morning accidentally. I used to take 300mg in the morning but switched to nighttime so I wouldn t be as tired waking up in the morning. It works better for me to take it in the evening but out of habit I forgot and took the extra dose at 7am this morning. I want to stay with the 300mg at night so when is it safe to take the next 300mg - 9.30pm tonight or wait until 9.30pm tomorrow night?

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

This medicine sometimes may cause serious symptoms if someone has overdosed. So I suggest you take a break for a day and continue taking it from next evening.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
