Does An Inoperable Gallbladder Infection Due To Pneumonia Make The Prognosis Grim?

my father had a massive stroke 19 years ago and a heart attack about 8 yrs ago. he had to be taken to er yesterday and we just found out his gallbladder is infected and needs to be removed, but he also has pneunomia and can't be operated on yet. what are is chances of surviving this? he is 77 yrs old.
