Does Anemia Cause Severe Tics And Uncontrollable Movement Of Limbs?

Hi I have anaemia, taking script iron meds, have severe tics, bit like having a seizure, but fully aware just cannot stop limbs moving. Sometimes just 1 or 2 muscles other times many more. Any answers? Should I return to go? I also have sarcoidosis

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. No, anaemia does not cause tics or uncontrollable movement of legs.
2. Appears to be possible electrolyte imbalance. Sarcoidosis does not cause these symptoms.
3. Tics are more commonly seen in calcium deficiency. You will need Vit D and calcium supplements.
4. Serum calcium level evaluation will be useful in confirmation and appropriate dosage treatment. Have adequate sun exposure too. Continue iron for anemia.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
