Does Antibiotics Cause Nose Bleeding?

Will the use of antibiotics cause excessive nose bleeding? Or can prednisone be the culprit? I am taking prednisone and Allegra/day Benadryl/night because of an adverse reaction to the minocycline. The nose bleeds are coming fast and furious! Seems like my blood may be thinner with the use of the antihistamines...

Hi welcome to HCM...

Antihistaminic drugs and steroid drugs are for congestion relief ....

They usually doesn't lead nose bleed in such a fast flow ...

I would suggest you to consult ENT surgeon for nose examination by rhinoscopy for further examination ....

Also check your blood pressure ....

As bleeding is much investigation with BT, CT, PT and platelet count .....
It will rule out coagulation and bleeding disorder if there ....

If bleeding more nose packing with cotton gauze piece can be done .....

Take care ...
