Does Antibiotics Cause Skin Rashes?

I am currently on antibiotics for a bladder infection (day 3). The day before I started the meds I developed a skin rash in the fold on my right arm that is raised, quite itchy and rough. Might there be any relationship between the two? I wonder if it might be shingles, although I ve never had it - it is the only thing I can find images of that looks close.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.

Yes, this may be part of allergic reaction to certain antibiotic and it should be stopped and switched to another one and rash should be recorded in your medical documents. It may always be coincidental but you should take risk.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
