Does Birth Control Pills Effects Blood Hormone Levels?

I'm an 18 year old female. I had some hormone testing because of excess hair. I did some research and came up with androgen excess. I got my results back and the doctor told me that is what I have. I have high levels of androsterone and pregnanetriol. My mother has PCOS and my sister and I both show symptoms of it. What chance do you think I have of having PCOS and what can I do to help my hormone levels. I would like to go on birth control soon, will that affect my hormone levels even more or is there certain types of BC I can go on that will not affect my hormone levels. Thanks
