Does Black Scar Caused Post Drainage Of Abscess On Lip Heal?

I had a small white head on my lip that turned into a huge pimple and it popped and white pus/ blood came out of it. Then it scanned over. Now I still have a red mark there with something black in it...will it go away? It has almost been 2 weeks since the pimple appeared

Hi Dear,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Understanding your concern.

The condition you describe in your query is due post inflammatory hyperpigmentation ,Discoloration that left after healing process .

I would suggest you to during plenty of water throughout the day, apply sunscreen to prevent it from UV radiations of the sun ,apply lime juice to lips before going to bed and take vitamin b12 supplements for few days .

If the condition still persist consult dermatologist.

Hope your concern had been resolved.

Best Wishes,
