Does Blood In Stools With Fatty Liver And Mild Ulcer Suggest Cirrhosis?

Hello Sir, I been alcoholic from last 10 years. the last LFT done 3 months ago showed normal parameters, USG showed grade 1 fatty liver. Endoscopy diagnosed mild ulcer. Now I am having bleeding in feces, specially the day after drinking. Sometimes fresh blood and sometime dark red blood. also suffering from Anxiety Disorder. Can you pls suggest what may be the cause of bleeding. Is there any threat of Liver Cirrhosis..? Pls help me sir...

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The bleeding is likely due to the ulcer seen on endoscopy though it may also be related to a lesion in the intestines since it is sometimes bright red.

Investigations of the intestines such as barium enema or colonoscopy may be needed to take a look at the bowel.
In the meantime, you would need to try to discontinue alcohol use since you notice the bleeding after use.

I hope this helps
