Does Breaking Of Hymen Cause Strong Blood Odor During Periods?

I became sexually active about a month ago...It is time for my cycle, and I'm noticing the usual "blood" odor which always accompanies my cycle (when I'm actually bleeding) but I'm not actually spotting just yet. Is there a connection between breaking the hymen and a stronger 'blood' odor during menstration??
